      • RIchard Parker

The really Good Moments seem to be Trey. Phil seems to be enjoying him. Bobby is in Bobbyland.

    • HCD

cgrand, There’s a Morning Dew here, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GNQXM3qpxOI at the 1:45 mark. It’s video of the stream, but the sound is good.

DRIVE IT INTO A FARMERS MARKET

      • garretc

Not worth it. The fine is way cheaper if you drive it into a supermarket.

      • swaggiemaggie

WHY ARE YOU PRESSURING ME INTO A LIFE OF CRIME AND DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY

btw GarretC is right I’ll hit up an Albertson’s later tonight

Yes. Get in my car, teenaged girl I met on the internet. This will end well.

      • swaggiemaggie

Who says it would end badly? That Chris Hansen guy? Fuck him. I want to see the Dead.

lol I probably would t leave my house if it was on fire I’m so lazy

      • swaggiemaggie

I won’t be getting in YOUR car, you’d be getting in MINE. That I stole so it’s not really mine

      • swaggiemaggie

At least sell me in the parking lot so someone would smuggle me in

        • thoughtsonthedead

U WILL B SOLD 2 FOREIGNERS 4 THINGS THAT FOREIGHNERS DO

      • mrcompletely

you are fucking hilarious. I keep telling our host he should shut the comments section down because most of this stuff is just terrible but you’re killing it.

Also he talks a filthy game but he’d be a total gentleman with you and come on that would make a FANTASTIC road trip movie, Swaggie Maggie and TotD Guy drive to Chicago to see the Antiques Roadshow, I’d see that and I don’t even like movies

      • jerrywasapicker

Who among us, as teenagers, did not take of for the weekend, or longer, to see the Grateful Dead?

        • thoughtsonthedead

          With our teenager friends.

What Swaggie Maggie is recommending is the Mann Act.

      • jerrywasapicker

Touche, I am a Canadian and was not familiar with said legislation. There is a probably an issue with the debauchery and immorality.

And, of course, the bands interest in stone cold teenage foxes!

      • swaggiemaggie

See? The masses agree with me. It would be great fun. WE COULD TALK ABOUT LATIN.

All joking aside, I hope that your trip is a great one and that you enjoy the shows. Stop by the radio show, too!

      • swaggiemaggie

Foreigners? What are those?! They sound fun!

        • thoughtsonthedead

THEY R NOT. THEY R BARBARIANS AND HEATHENS AND ZOROASTRIANS

          • swaggiemaggie

They seem pretty chill, though all I did was skim their wikipedia page. Mom and dad are going to miss me, but for a good price (seeing the Dead).

      • swaggiemaggie

Don’t subject me to the evil barbarians now!!!!!! You are legally responsible for me from July 1-6!!!!!

  7. Boogaloo

Maggie probably has seat belts in the trunk. But don’t let that scare you.

    • swaggiemaggie

      I drive a 1992 Volvo 740. He’s got room.

      • FreedomHaul

Hoping someone took a screenshot of all this for the inevitable deposition…

        • thoughtsonthedead

“Your honor, I was obviously just JOKING about, you know: kidnapping, transporting, and auctioning off to the highest bidder a young white girl. Ha ha, right? Ha ha?”

          • swaggiemaggie

It wouldn’t be kidnapping; it’d be “surprise adoption.” Man, screwing with you guys sure is fun.

      • swaggiemaggie

let that be your job, Freedom

      • swaggiemaggie

Watch this blog get shut down because of all the stupid, stupid jokes I’ve made on here

        hopeful that that doesn’t happen

      • jerrywasapicker

if only Johnny Cochran was alive

      • corry342

True fact: Chuck Berry wrote “The Promised Land” in prison while doing time for violating the Mann Act. Really, this is true, he looked up all the place names in the Prison Atlas.

        • thoughtsonthedead

That is not a true fact. You’re being silly.

Not about the Mann Act thing, but: he would know those cities!

        • swaggiemaggie

Wow, shit. I’m going to be weary every time I go and hum that song innocently. Also I’ve never really gotten over the line “Instead I’ve got a bottle and a girl of just fourteen” in Mexicali.

          • thoughtsonthedead

That’s 14 in Mexican, not American. They use the metric system.

          • swaggiemaggie

But can dyslexics tell the difference?

          • thoughtsonthedead

Did you hear about the Mexican dyslexic than got cold, so he put on a taco?

          • swaggiemaggie

What reddit page did you get that one from?
I actually enjoy cheesy jokes. They really get to me for some reason. Your life is one of the funniest ones I’ve stumbled upon so far!
            #NOH8 #LUVTOTD

          • thoughtsonthedead

            That’s my joke.

All the jokes here are mine; even the cheesy dad jokes.

            FEELINGS HURT. KIDNAPPING OFF.

          • swaggiemaggie

THAT WAS A REALLY CUTE JOKE AND I LIKED IT

DAD JOKES COMMENCE IM SORRY MR. DEAD

          • swaggiemaggie

Oh my god they just issued an amber alter for a 15-year-old girl in South Carolina #2SPOOKY4ME

      • jerrywasapicker

awesome trivia, i have to say lol

    • corry342

Chuck is the one who apparently said he used the Prison Atlas. I think the tip is Rock Hill (SC). Saying “we bypassed Rock Hill,” besides being a generally good idea (the Starbucks is actually in Gaffney on exit 92), sounds like a writer looking for a two syllable city that ends on a liquid on a map.

      • thoughtsonthedead

        Huh. Makes sense.

At least he used his time wisely and rehabilitated himself until he began doing the same bullshit almost immediately upon release, one would assume.

        • swaggiemaggie

Jesus, what the hell is wrong with people?

      • swaggiemaggie

Are you sure he didn’t just have an awesome memory from when he was transporting a teenaged girl across the country?

    • jerrywasapicker

could it have been the immorality or debauchery section of the Mann Act he violated?

      • thoughtsonthedead

Debauchery takes place after Dead shows; Chuck did immoral-ass shit.

      • jerrywasapicker

Good to know him in Miles Davis have something in common

  8. jerrywasapicker

If i remember correctly i saw Chuck open for them at my last show in Portland

    • mrcompletely

He played Promised Land at least 3 times between the 2 shows. Seriously

  9. RationalExpressions

    Starting to miss anchovy rancher.

    • thoughtsonthedead

      Irrational

      • RationalExpressions

Crazy, but adult crazy. Reminded me of many burnt out old hippies – always wrote in some sort of riddle language. What’s the frequency Kenneth?

      • swaggiemaggie

All of u r crazy old hippies in a good way thx peace and God bless

    • swaggiemaggie

Yeah, where did that guy go?

  10. RIchard Parker

Sugar Mag. Trey’s solo started a little languid, but it really took off. Chills up and down my back.

This and the first night drums best so far. So not-The-Grateful-Dead but sometimes close enough.

    • RIchard Parker

Oh, and ‘Cream Puff War’. Should be enough good stuff for the two CD set. Don’t think I would ever listen to the full shows of SC.

      Suggested Chant: Turn Trey Loose!

  11. seangrexa

Bill W with the Fart thee Well shirt is a little disrespectful, but that had to be his 6th or 7th t shirt change so he was running low I suspect. Oh, and please Phil, do not sing the brokedown that will inevitably close this whole thing out.
