Musings on the Most Ridiculous Band I Can't Stop Listening To

An Addendum

I forgot about this one: the estimable JES (hey, he chose his name) from the Comment Section voted for it, along with several thousand other tunes, and it’s a pisser.

Bobby Gentry sang He Made A Woman Out Of Me and Ode To Billy Joe and a damn good cover of Son of a Preacher Man, but I hadn’t heard Fancy before.

Fancy’s not a name. You made that up.

I know. Realities are all blending into one another this year. Have you met The Mooch?

True. Continue.

Anyway, I won’t say any more. Just go listen to this and keep reminding yourself that not only was this song perfectly acceptable in 1970, but laudable: Bobby got a Grammy nomination for it. Seriously: trust your old pal TotD on this one and give it a spin.

Ah, yes, it comes back to me why at a young age I was forbidden to listen to anything but classical music.
