seems to me like that silly lyric is some kind of call-out for a wannabe tough guy/baddie, maybe with a southern background…or kinda southern roughnecks in general…it strikes me as one of those Dead lyrics that might have a specific story and reference behind it. In general it seems to be about a guy who’s trouble but not as tough as he wants to be
