You da man.
The mix really favors the fully operational Chimenti.

Ok, so this was the first extended listening of DeadCo, er, Dead&Co that I’d seen. Pretty much good clean fun, competently played by good musicians, pros all (Oteil is a keeper for sure). Flip side is that it was lacking somewhat in feeling (JM mostly, a guy with mucho chops but not enough heart & soul to match) or that peculiar Dead weirdness/unpredictability, and no real telepathic conversation among the band members that’s the hallmark of the best Dead performances — but that horse left the barn a long time ago, even when Jerry was still alive. A lot of mainly inane commentary by folks who have seemingly never heard any Dead from before, say, 1980, nor have evidently never seen a drums/space segment that wasn’t enthralling, so mostly ignorable. Even so, those songs still live, Hunter’s words still shine, and it’s good to see Bobby playing that unusual interstitial stuff that he does, at least when you can hear him in the mix. Not sure what I expected, but all it cost me was time, and I enjoyed it, so thanks for the link.
