Musings on the Most Ridiculous Band I Can't Stop Listening To

I’ve Reason To Believe

An offering and some news:

Willie Nelson is awesome, but there’s no version without Paul Simon. Just ignore the Jew and concentrate on the Texan.

  1. Willie’s phrasing is surprisingly similar to the original. Interesting. Usually he puts more of his own stamp on the vocal. Great though

  2. HOW ABOUT WE ALL HELP SWAGGIE MAGGIE GET THE EMAIL SUBSCRIPTION THING TO WORK!!!!!!! I HAVE ENTERED MY EMAIL LIKE 40 TIMES AND I CANT FIND IT IN MY INBOX (YES IVE CHECKED ALL FOLDERS INCLUDING SPAM) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. hold on. maybe if i check “notify me of new posts via email” underneath the comment box it will work

  4. When Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel made early-60s teen rock and roll singles, they used the name “Tom And Jerry.” Who was Tom, who was Jerry?

  5. This one is interesting, and I decided I liked it after awhile

  6. …but THIS one is stupendous.

There are also versions with Emmylou on vocals, and they are good too

But this one is where it’s at. Lanois is such an underrated guitar player! And obviously Willie’s voice suits this song better than anyone’s (except Garcia).

  7. I will figure this out…or go use the laptop

  8. Won’t accept pics from tablet because they are jpeg not jpg. Hmm, wish my wife wasn’t away on business……..
