Holy shit: Billy’s latest bar band is fucking killing it. It is going to be a real shame when he fires them, suddenly and with no explanation, in six months.
The stream’s going and I don’t think anyone’s putting a kibosh on it; but for battery loss or a well-aimed EMP blast from the North Koreans (the little fat one saw Ocean’s 11 and got the whole EMP thing in his head,) the show should be yours for the listening.
The band’s not perfect, but in a very Billy way: they jam every song, even Bobby’s cowboy tunes, which we can only assume that Billy still plays so he can still bitch about having to play them.
You forget what a motherfucker Billy is (in a musical sense; also, in the sense that he fucked your mother) but he is mixed up real high in the feed–it’s basically an A+ AUD–and he does not have three guitarists and two keyboardists and Mickey fucking around with his tom-toms smothering him and he sounds miles better than he did in Chicago. If we’re completely honest, he also sounds as if he’s trying just a bit harder, but that’s just one man’s opinion.
