Musings on the Most Ridiculous Band I Can't Stop Listening To

Recording Angel

betty red rocks headphones

The 7/7/78 from the new Complete July ’78 Complete Recordings is up on Spotify (and, I’m sure, other places) and you should go listen to it. I’m only at Good Lovin’, and I am ready to pronounce this the Best Sounding Release EVAR. I’d write more, but I wanted to tell you right away.

Thank you, Betty, for your Boards. No other band had a Betty, but no other band needed one.

Is she an Angel or a Saint?

How high is that leaning tower of speakers ?

  2. Is there a Betty On Board bumper sticker?

There used to be a “Betty On Board” logo, a la the Intel “football” logo.

  3. Wait a second. No wonder the tapes sounded so good: she’s playing the music off her iPod! It’s right there on the board! They mimed the whole damn thing…

  4. I will purchase a Betty on Board bumper sticker.

  5. Does anyone know why Bobby says “I’m moving to Australia,” before Estimated? Or you know, as close to a reason for doing something as Bobby ever came. I’ve always wondered about that….

With all due respect, between the glasses and the earbuds, Betty looks very spacely.

Eileen Stackhouse’s (Precarious’ Special Lady Friend) work in the background.

Eileen’s Ronnie’s ex. High school sweethearts (Highland Secondary). Things went south when Ronnie went up for a cup of coffee with the Seals. Eileen met Precarious at the Carousel. The shit hit the fan when Ronnie got traded to Detroit, Eileen went on the road with Precarious.

fortunately Ronnie got on the Bus in Pittsburgh. A Stolen Moment backstage at the Civic Arena. Precarious was cool with it.

30 seconds into bertha I was thinking this doesn’t sound that much better than my cm sbd. I was wrong.

    I love you Betty

  9. Moving to Australia was owsleys idea to escape the global warming catastrophe’s to come. we know he crossed paths with the dead in May of 1978 and gave them mescaline before their show released as dicks pick 25 or so. Probably espoused his theory to move to Australia to them either then or before that. Prophet on a burning shore indeed.
    Just a theory.
