When Hornsby was in the band it was seven-member strong and buddies of mine made “Hi-Ho, Hi-Ho, it’s off to tour we go” shirts with Jerry, Bobby, Billy, Mickey, Vinnie, Hornsby & Phil as dwarfs. They went to Oakland for New Year’s ’91, sold a few and got busted by the merch cops in the lot. There were no logos or intellectual property used but I guess the likenesses were too good. I’ll see if he has any pictures of them.
I firmly believe that the world would be a slightly better place if more men were named Slappy.
