People don’t think that Steve Miller was a philosopher, but he was right about time.

Wait, Avedon really did shoot the cover? Someone just said something about it on Twitter. I had absolutely no idea. (But this lends credence to your belief that Bobby and the record company were trying reeeeeeeeally hard to make him a solo star. Avedon must have been expensive.)

Yep, Avedon most certainly did. I reckon the guitar shares the billing with Bob on that cover. I think it is a 1930s Martin OM-45, and if so, that is a very expensive guitar.
