Forget your personal taste, and Pitchfork’s lists, and the Billboard Top Quadrillion: these are all opinions, and by definition subjective. The question is this: is there such a thing as objectively good music?
Probably not. If there is, though, the Ode to Joy and this tune are part of the conversation.
Saw James Brown at Lulu’s Roadhouse in Kitchener(supposed longest bar in the world) Ontario……. The place was awesome, B.B King, John Lee Hooker, Jerry Lee Lewis, Buddy Guy, Johnny Cash, The Ramone’s, Teenage Head….
Lulu’s MC
i think i ran into you at the Pina Colada Bar?
a cranky JB at Police Picnic III
My Uncle in Oakville is probably still complaining about the noise and traffic from Police Picnic 1…… The Police, The Specials, Iggy, Go-Go’s,Killing Joke, Nash the Slash, Oingo Bingo!
Strange they chose Oakville for the first one.
outside of the “British Properties” in West Van, or just Vancouver in general, Oakville the most uptight place in Canada. I missed out on I, it was the party. At III, JB got upstaged by King Sunny Ade, the crowd picked up on it and gave James a bit of a hard time. Love Nash…….
