Musings on the Most Ridiculous Band I Can't Stop Listening To

Wrap-Up

IMG_2509

TotD is making the ruling: it’s a scarf with sleeves. Maybe a flannel kimono. Although–from the little chi-chi balls on the bottom–it could also be a throw rug.

To come out with it: I don’t know how much I’ll be writing about the Dead Or What’s Left Of ‘Em. Maybe I’ll live-blog every show; maybe I’ll fulfill my dreams and turn this place into Thoughts on the New York Dolls (“They were okay, I suppose.”)

Feel free to make yourselves heard in the Comment Section, but do keep in mind that this is not a democracy.

Tonight, though, will be Dead & Company free, but here’s a review from the New York Times, and an article with videos from the Wall Street Journal. Other people wrote about it, but I am a snob and do not care what the local Albanian paper thinks.

      They opened with H>S>F?

Hee hee. Who played it better, folks?

sorry dead & co. phil killed that shit too. IMO Bertha is so far the “worst” song yet and my wife says it was better than most of last night.

Sittin’ sounded great. Cant wait for the second set. Thanks for the reminder: totally forgot.

          And God bless Taperrob.

Those are the Dolls. I think this might have been in their embarassing later months. (Not a particularly long-lived ensemble.)

What little info there was stated 1973?

      • cuznt

jesus and baby jesus I said to my wife. They are some band I forgot. She said Alzheimer’s.

    • spencer

I think you might be right Totd. It was captioned along the lines of “who had the balls to wear this in 1973?”, but after viewing more reliable 73 pics it seems to be later.

Can we like both? Seems like the video boards on dead and co are spending time on Mayers handi work. The solo on touch of grey was pretty good, but a departure from exactly how jerry played it.
Also a week on rush would be fine by me

I flew into Albany late last night, so was greeted first thing this morning with a copy of the Albany Times Union (local Hearst paper) slid under the door, with a photo featuring Young John Mayer, Billy and Bobby. Yick. Good on you for not caring what this paper writes . . . I have a bad history with them: http://jericsmith.com/2010/09/21/the-verdict-is-in/
